The Sun skriver:
"The gunman has been named locally as Benjamin Herman.
The 36-year-old from Rochefort in France is understood to have been on leave from prison at the time of the attack.
Local media reported that he'd been released temporarily no Monday night for "family leave" to prepare reintegration into society, but never returned.
He was said to be known to the police for theft, damage to public property and drug trafficking.
Herman was also considered "unstable" and had no contact with his family, it was said. RTBF also reported that he is thought to have been "radicalised" in prison.
Catherine Collignon, a spokesman for Liege prosecutors, said elite officers shot Herman dead at the school, and two were injured in the process."
"Ex-cellmate of Islamist attacker Benjamin Herman says Herman converted to Islam in prison and described himself as a “real Muslim.” He also said Herman would fast on Mondays and Thursdays, but was discreet about his radicalisation."
